Certified Foundations, Inc. (CFI) started in 1989 as a Foundation Stabilization Contractor with 1 employee.

From the beginning, Certified Foundations, Inc. has specialized in Underpinning. After four years of building the Underpinning Division, the company expanded to include a Grouting Division. This broadened the company’s services to handle sinkhole repair and pressure grouting.

CFI works with Architects, Insurance Companies, General Contractors, Civil Engineers, Geo-Technical Engineers, and Structural Engineers locally and throughout the Southeast Region.

The company started out with a small office and warehouse on Shadow Dr. in Lakeland and expanded that office several times to accommodate the rapid growth. In 1998 the owners made plans to build their own office and warehouse. In 1999 a new building was built on Banana Rd., which sits on 6 acres of land, has 4060 square foot of office and 12000 square feet of warehouse space. CFI has plans of more growth in the future to encompass the acres of land that sits behind the current building.

In 2008, Certified Foundations, Inc. opened an office in Jacksonville in order to accommodate its growing customer base in the area. Located on Florida Mining Boulevard in a thriving industrial park, the new office will enable CFI to provide increased service to their current clients while expanding their client base exponentially.

Since its inception in 1989, CFI has drilled more than 796,375 linear feet, pumped more than 141,701 cubic yards of grout and installed more than 18,613 steel underpins.
